The third factory study tour in this semester was held in Nippon Steel Kimitsu work area. This company has core business in steel manufacturing and its derivatives. Nippon Steel is well known as one of big companies within Japan due their ability to supply steel demands for other parties. The products exist of several types from plates, pipes, tubes and many more. Same like other FST, at first we heard the presentation and short introduction of Nippon Steel from boards. After that we continue to have factory tour and visit the site process. We saw how huge the area of Nippon Steel that need us to ride bus to move from one site to another site, maybe this is the biggest company site during the FST programs.

Toshiba is well known as reputable electric manufacturer in Japan and within the world. Products from Toshiba are spread out from the small part with low voltage and low power consumption into products that employ higher voltage and higher power consumption. From notebook, household appliances into electric machinery and generator are some products of Toshiba with high quality warranty.

After several months living in Tokyo, currently I know some places that categorized as must-seen-or-visit in this city. Despite there are some places I haven't visited yet, but for sure it will be my future destination. Through the list, regardless I went it by myself or as a bunch of friends, it has attract me for a lot of exceptional things. It could be for the buildings and skyscrapers or maybe for the unique structure into the outstanding "crazy" people spreading on that area. Fabulously, it gave me a good perspective and of course experience through this city as well.

At the first trip of FST on the spring semester, we were visit Nissan Company. Nissan Company is one of the famous car and automobile manufacturer in Japan as well as in the world. At the beginning of the tour, we were listening for the presentation about Nissan and what currently they do. With a new challenge to reduce air pollution and dependencies on fossil fuel, Nissan has focused to produce car and automobile based on the Electricity Vehicle (EV). It means the car would utilize the electric power as the source of energy and to push aside the conventional car using fossil fuel. This concept has strong desire in accordance to tackle environmental issues that facing the world. 

"Belajarlah dari pengalaman dan ilmu orang yang lebih tua" Kalimat ini mungkin sebuah kalimat yang sering ktia dengar, tapi terkadang atau sering kali menjadi sebuah frasa/kalimat yang hanya angin lalu. Sebuah nasehat yang kita "resapi" sementara tapi tereduksi seiring waktu berjalan. Memang untuk memahami benar - benar terhadap frasa tersebut atau quote - quote yang lain tidaklah mudah, dan diperlukan perpaduan banyak unsur didalamnya. Tapi, dalam tulisan ini, bukanlah point pemahaman akan makna frasa atau quote - quote tersebut, bukan pula membahas bagaiamana mendalami nasihat didalamnya. Karena toh penulis bukanlah orang yang "tahu banyak" dalam akan hal tersebut. Tapi yang penulis coba sampaikan pada tulisan kali ini, adalah untuk berbagi sepenggal makna yang berhasil diresapi dari kalimat tersebut.  Setelah sekian lama tertunda untuk menulis kelanjutan dari tulisan sebelumnya ( Kenangan SMA ; (alm) “Pak Didi” (1) ), akhirnya bisa memiliki "waktu" untuk melanjutkannya. Untuk bagian ini, saya memang akan memfokuskan untuk menulis mengenai salah seorang sosok Guru yang banyak memberikan ilmu dan pemahaman dalam hidup saya ini. Dan seiring waktu berjalan, saya semakin tahu ternyata "cara pandang" yang pernah dia ajarkan kepada saya, secara langsung ataupun tidak langsung menjadi faktor yang membentuk diri saya sekarang. Mari kita mulai mengenal sosok beliau... Kesan pertama ketika mengenal beliau adalah, beliau termasuk guru yang GALAK dan KILLER. Dengan perawakan yang tinggi besar, jarang terlihat tersenyum, dan bersuara lantang, kesan itu seakan tak dapat dilepaskan dari sosok beliau. Apalagi jika beliau sedang mengajar di kelas, dengan cara mengajar yang boleh dikatakan "strict-きびし" beliau mampu membuat sebuah kelas yang terkenal ribut (terutama k...
